Wave of arrests at Mate Yehuda Regional Council on suspicions of bribery and fraud

Police made a wave of arrests on Monday morning of senior officials in the Mate Yehuda Regional Council as well as contractors, over suspicions of bribery, fraud, tax offenses, and more. One of the officials and his relative are also suspected of committing sex offenses.
In total, 12 people were arrested and eight others detained.
After a covert investigation over the past few months, detectives from the police's Anti-Fraud Unit raided the homes of the officials and seized documents as well.
