Teacher from Hura in the Negev sentenced to four years in jail for planning to join Islamic State

The Beersheba District Court on Thursday sentenced a teacher from Hura in the Negev to four years in jail after he admitted to planning to leave Israel in order to join the Islamic State group in Syria.

Mohammed Abu Elkyan, 29, also established a cell and used a "spiritual teacher" to pas on teachings to IS supporters.
