Androgynous Israeli model lands major fashion campaign

Stav Strashko, who models both male and female apparel, is to get a huge publicity boost when he appears in ads worldwide for Diesel.

Famously androgynous Israeli model Stav Strashko, 24, was announced on Sunday as the face of fashion brand Diesel's global ad campaign for the upcoming summer – no mean feat in the world of international fashion.

Strashko previously walked the runway for Diesel in 2014. He has frequently modeled women's clothing and often appears at events wearing dresses.

"I'm happy I'm making it big time now and it's always a great pleasure to work with Diesel," said Strashko, "which has broken stigmas about gender and beauty in its campaign in recent years, and I'm proud that I have the opportunity to be part of this movement that is bringing change to the world and is opening people's eyes to a truth one cannot ignore – there is no single type of beauty or conventional gender and we need to abandon this fixation."
