Abbas: I agreed to talks, Netanyahu didn't respond

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas told Israeli reporters on Thursday that his office and that of Prime Minister Netanyahu had been in contact over the last few months regarding a holding a summit, with no US mediation. It was agreed that each side would send two people appropriate for the meeting. However, Abbas said, "I agreed, and then received no response from Netanyahu."
