New Egyptian Ambassador Hazam Khairat is currently presenting his credentials to President Reuven Rivlin at the President's residence in Jerusalem. Egypt has not had an amabassador in Tel Aviv since it recalled Atef Salem amidst Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012.
