Sudanese who stabbed IDF soldier in Ashkelon influenced by ISIS

A Sudanese migrant who stabbed and lightly wounded an IDF soldier in Ashkelon earlier this month was influenced by the Islamic State, details of the investigation revealed on Thursday showed.

 

The 32-year-old Kamal al-Aziz Hassan Mohammed, a devout Muslim, infiltrated Israel a few years ago. In 2009 he was arrested for violent behavior, fled the Holot detention center in 2014, and has been living in Ashdod and Ashkelon ever since.

 

Shin Bet and Police investigators found photos of ISIS terrorists on his phone.
