Sara Netanyahu, the prime minister's wife, appealed a Labor Court ruling on Thursday that determined that plaintiff Meni Naftali suffered from harmful work conditions while working as the caretaker at the Prime Minister's Residence, and awarded him damages of NIS 170,000.
Mrs. Netanyahu petitioned to return the case to the District Court and allow her to present evidence and witness on her behalf.
"Meni Naftali lied. The court was mistaken in not letting the Mrs. Netanyahu a chance to defend herself and did not allow her to present her position and evidence in full, it was also mistaken in the serious conclusions reached against Mrs. Netanyahu, in contradiction with the evidence before it," the appeal stated.
