12 killed in terror attack in Ivory Coast

Abidjan - At least 12 people including four Europeans were killed on Sunday when gunmen opened fire on beachgoers at a resort town of Grand-Bassam in Ivory Coast, witnesses said.

An American embassy delegation was in Grand-Bassam on Sunday but the U.S. Embassy in Abidjan said it is monitoring the situation in Grand-Bassam and it has no evidence that U.S. citizens were targeted nor confirmed reports of any U.S citizens harmed.

There are no reports of Israelis amongst the casualties, and all Israeli diplomatic personnel are confirmed safe.
