Hamas meeting did not achieve goals in Cairo

Egyptian security officials report that the Hamas delegation to Egypt did not achieve its goals in smoothing over its relations with the Egyptian government. 

"The delegation brought nothing new to the table. The Egyptian side suggested cooperation on the security level regarding an investigation of the assasination of Egyptian Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat, following the discovery of evidence linking Hamas to th training of the assasins who carried out the attack," the official said.

Additionally, it was stated that Hamas offered its assistance in the investigation, but did not claim responsibility for the assasination.
