IDF announces equipment return amnesty drive

The IDF is the public the opportunity to return equipment without fear of prosecution.

There will be 107 places throughout the country where the public can safely return IDF materiel. The public will be able to start returning items starting next week, and will be able to return military equipment for a month.

"We believe members of the public are in posession of IDF binoculars, night vision goggles, tear gas canisters, stun grenades, flares, and other equipment," a military representative said.

The last time a return drive of this nature occurred was in 2008, whereby NIS 7 million worth of IDF property was returned.
