The Knesset approved a new bill that allows guards to carry weapons after business hours as part of the fight against the terror wave. It was passed on the second and third readings by a majority of 21 supporters in front of eight oppose the bill.
The law abolishes legislation from 2013, when the government decided to prevent security guards from returning home with their weapons due to homicides committed by guards with guns. The law does not apply to those who has a police record for violent crimes.
