Bomb targets IDF bulldozer near Gaza; no one hurt

Bomb explodes along northern Gaza border close to IDF bulldozers performing routine operations in the area. No injuries or damage was reported. Residents of nearby towns were asked to remain alert.

Terrorists activated an explosive device next to an IDF bulldozer which was working along the fence on the northern border with the Gaza Strip on Friday morning. There were no injuries and no damage to the bulldozer.

The explosion was heard throughout the Gaza border area, with residents of nearby towns even reporting that their houses shook from the blast.

"This morning started quietly," a resident of the area said, "although sometimes we hear explosions, maybe from the IDF, maybe from Hamas doing training exercises. They don't always tell us. Suddenly there was a really strong explosion, and it shook all of the houses. I haven't heard such an explosion in a long time."

The resident continued, saying, "At first, we thought a rocket had landed without any warning sirens going off, but afterwards, we received the updates. It's scary, but this is the situation in the Gaza envelope. In one moment, the quiet can be gone. I'm sorry to say, but we've gotten used to this. This quiet can’t be taken for granted."

Despite the incident, there are no special instructions being issued to the residents of the Gaza border area. Security coordinators have been updated regarding the incident, and were asked to be on alert.
