RAMALLAH - The Palestinian prime minister has urged international donor countries to "make good on their pledges" to help rebuild the war-battered Gaza Strip.
Rami Hamdallah told a group of donor representatives on Wednesday that only one-third of the roughly $3.5 billion pledged at a 2014 conference has been delivered. The donors are to meet next week in Brussels.
Israel battled Gaza's ruling Hamas militant group during a 50-day war in the summer of 2014 in what it said was a campaign to halt rocket fire out of the territory.
An Israeli bombing campaign also damaged or destroyed thousands of homes. Hamdallah said 75,000 Palestinians remain homeless.
