Update: death toll in Iraq more than doubles

Iraqi officials say that double car bombings in southern Iraqi city of Samawa kill at least 18 people and wound up to 40 others.

Earlier, Reuters reported that the twin blasts claimed the lives of at least eight people and injured 16 others.
