Security arrest Hamas terrorist involved in 2010 shooting

Security forces have cleared for publication that a joint operation by the Israeli general security apparatus and the IDF has led to the arrested Attaf Ruhi Salah (43) on Wednesday.

Attaf, a resident of Silwad in the Binyamin region, was a Hamas military activist and was involved in a shooting attack at Rimonim Junction on September 1, 2010 which injured two Israeli civilians. After carrying out the attack, Attaf was captured by the Palestinian security apparatus.

After it became known that he has been released by Palestinian authorities however, Israeli security sought his arrest. He is under investigation.
