American Birthright Israel participant commits suicide

A participant in Birthright Israel was discovered dead in his hotel room on Wednesday morning after killing himself, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA) has reported.

The group with whom he was travelling is to continue their tour of Israel, JTA reported. The dead man's family and the US Embassy in Tel Aviv have been informed.
