French PM on visit to the region: Stopping settlements is imperative

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, who arrived in Israel on Saturday night for a three-day trip to the region, told Palestinian newspaper Al-Ayyam that "stopping settlements is an imperative."
"Because we cannot both want to discuss peace and be sincere in the negotiations and at the same time continue to create facts on the ground," he added.
