Labor Federation urges a reduction in number of working hours and extended weekends in Israel
Histadrut Labor Federation Chairman Avi Nissenkorn has urged Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon to expedite serious discussions regarding the reduction in the number of work hours per week in Israel.
“The time has come to shorten the number of hours during the week to 40 hours and to set in place six extended weekends for the benefit of the economy and for the public,” Nissenkorn wrote.
Currently, the number of weekly work hours stands at 43.
