Prisoner not seen since CIA capture may appear at Guantanamo

MIAMI- A Palestinian not seen publicly since his 2002 capture by the CIA launched a brutal interrogation program may soon make his first appearance in a US courtroom.
Abu Zubaydah has been called as a witness by a defendant in the Sept. 11 war crimes case to back up allegations of mistreatment inside a high-security unit at Guantanamo Bay. He could testify at a pretrial hearing at the US base in Cuba as early as next week.
The military has denied the allegations.
