Drill: Sirens in Tel Aviv starting at 10:10am

As a part of an IDF Homefront Command drill, sirens will be heard throughout Tel Aviv Tuesday starting at 10:10am and ending around 10:40am

Sirens are set to go off in Tel Aviv Tuesday morning, as part of a routine drill. They will be heard in four phases throughout the city. On the off chance that a true emergency will take place, a second alarm will also be heard.

The sirens are set to be heard during the following times and at the following locations:

10:10 – south Tel Aviv

10:20 – Yarkon

10:30 – east Tel Aviv

10:40 – central Tel Aviv

Apart from the alarm, a Smartphone put out by the Home Front Command will also go off, as well as being broadcast on the 102FM and 103FM radio stations. Beepers for the hearing impaired will also send out a singal.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, the drill will be part of a general training routine for 2016 and is intended to verify the functionality of the national warning system.
