Knesset approves anti-terror bill
The Knesset approved on Wednesday a bill proposed by Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, which significantly increases punitive measures for terrorism-related charges. The bill expands the number of tools the legal system has to handle different terrorism offenses, clarifies the legal status of administrative detention, allows for a three-year prison sentence for people who publically identify with terror organizations, and dictates that a person who is convicted of assisting in terrorist activity shall be seen as if they had committed the activity themselves when it comes to sentencing.
