PMO slams Mahmoud Abbas for his 'lies' in Brussels
The Prime Minister’s office has criticized Mahmoud Abbas for his statements made in Brussels before the EU parliament Thursday and for refusing to meet with President Reuven Rivlin who was in the city on a state visit.
“Abu Mazen has shown his real face. Anyone who refuses to meet with the president or with Prime Minister Netanyahu to conduct direct negotiations, and anyone who spreads blood libels in the European parliament, is lying when he says his hand is outstretched for peace. Israel is waiting every day for Abu Mazen to stop spreading lies and to stop inciting. Until then, Israel will continue to defend itself in the face of Palestinian terror and to prevent terror attacks.”
