British-Australian held in Lebanon abduction to post bail

None

The lawyer of a dual British-Australian national indicted in a botched attempt to kidnap two Australian-Lebanese children at the center of a custody battle says his client will post bail and be released.

Whittington, who heads a British-based child recovery agency, allegedly masterminded the plot to kidnap the children from their Lebanese father in Beirut in April.

Along with his colleague and the children's Australian mother, Sally Faulkner, Whittington was charged with forceful kidnapping, which is punishable by up to 15 years imprisonment.
