French President announces plans to create a National Guard to help fight terror

French President Francois Hollande said Thursday shortly will create a National Guard in France to help the police to fight against the terrorist attacks in this country where they have multiplied lately.

"The president decided that the National Guard would be built on existing operational reserves," said the Elysee in a statement after a meeting with François Hollande of Parliamentary on this subject. Trade-offs will be made in early August before a formal operationalization expected in early autumn.
