Norwegian man charged in US with threats against police
PORTLAND- A Norwegian man charged with making threats against police officers via email and Twitter will face his first court appearance.
Twenty-eight-year-old Espen Brungodt of Norway will be in US District Court in Portland on Thursday. He was arrested on Wednesday and charged with making threatening interstate communications.
The Portland Press Herald reported Wednesday that it received a threatening email that came from someone who said it was "time for more police to die." The email sender threatened to "shoot and kill" officers.
