Rio Olympics: Two Israeli swimmers fail to make semi-finals

Two Israeli swimmers failed to reach the semi-finals in their respective swiming categories at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday. Yaakov Tomarkin finished 27th in the men's 100 meter backstroke, and Amit Ivry finished 29th in the women's 100 meter breaststroke.
Tomarkin will compete in the 200 meter backstroke later this week – a category in which he managed to reach the finals of the London 2012 Olympics.
