“The day he was injured, he wanted to calm tensions down, but in the end, he paid with his life. I hope the police find out who stabbed him. Every week we prayed he would recover and come back to his family.”
Since the start of the year, 41 people have been murdered in the Arab sector, including 5 women.
A friend of Masharqeh lamented, “We’re tired of all the incidents of violence and crime. He was murdered in cold blood. Another person joins the list of the murdered and we don’t know who will be next, maybe me, maybe someone else. The feeling these days is that the violence does not distinguish between criminals or the innocent. We are all in danger.”
The police said the investigation was transferred to the central unit of the beach district and currently, there are no arrests in connection with the crime.
