Turkish police use tear gas on protesters near Syrian border
ISTANBUL -- Turkish security forces used tear gas to disperse a small group of protesters demonstrating against the building of a wall along the Syrian border on Friday, security sources said.
"There's a protest on the Turkish side of the border against Turkey erecting a concrete wall along the Syrian border. There were a handful of protesters and the police and gendarmerie dispersed them with tear gas," one source said, adding that it was on a stretch of the border near the Syrian town of Kobani.
