The police have closed the investigation against the head of the Isfiya council, Wajiya Kiyuf, who was suspected of election bribery.
The investigation was triggered after suspicions arose that local residents were promised jobs in exchange for support for Kiyuf in the local council elections.
Insufficient evidence was gathered to implicate Kiyuf in allegations of bribery.
