The Israeli Air Force fired back at Syria after a mortar fell in the Golan Heights. No one was injured.
The spillover from Syria came despite the US-Russia brokered cease fire that went into affect on Monday.
The IDF issued a statement that it will not tolerate any attempt to compromise Israel's sovereignty or the security of its citizens.
