Peres' doctor: "He squeezed our hand"

Prof. Rafi Walden, Peres' personal physician and son-in-law, gave an update concerning the status of the former president. "We are pleased to see that when there was a pause in anesthetic drugs, we realized he responds, and is probably attentive to what we tell him. He squeezed our hands," he said.
Walden added, "At the moment, he is in stable condition and will continue to monitor him. We call on all the people of Israel to join us in hoping and praying for his recovery."
