MFA: Israeli ambassador to Turkey will be selected after holidays
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' nomination committee, headed by Director-General Dore Gold, will convene on October 27, after the end of the Tishrei holiday period, in order to select the country's new ambassador to Turkey.
The appointment of ambassadors is the last step detailed in the reconciliation agreement between the two states, which was recently signed following several years of tense relations following the 2010 incident of the Mavi Marmara.
Israel and Turkey have agreed to publish their ambassadorial announcements simultaneously.
