The Halloween costume was criticized as offensive to Muslims. Amazon removed it following criticism by site users and sent a warning to the sellers.
Amazon was forced to remove a "sexy burka" Halloween costume from its site, following large amounts of severe criticism it received. Users on Amazon.com claimed the costume was racist and offensive to Muslims.

Some users noticed the "sexy burka" page, in which the item was priced at 23$-30$, a few days ago. While it is not actually similar to a burka – which is a full body cloak – apart from perhaps the face covering, it was still said to have offended Muslim users.
Amazon quickly removed the item from its store. According to the company, its sellers' account may be deleted if they fail to abide by the rules.
