Yom Kippur 2016: 2,326 require medical attention

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics treated 2,326 people during the Yom Kippur fast. 249 of them fainted and/or suffered other dehydration symptoms due to the fast. 220 people were hurt in different accidents involving bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, etc.
In addition, 20 people were injured during violent events. On a more positive note, 136 women were brought to the hospital by MDA ambulances while in labor during the holiday.
