Palestinian security apparatus arrest cell planning multiple assassination
Palestinian security forces have arrested a cell of conspirators planning to assassinate Jamal Tirawi—a senior Fatah official from the Balata refugee camp in Nablus who leads the armed forces in the camp.
The cell also planned to carry out another assassination on a later date against a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and the former mayor of Nablus Ghassan al-Shaka and the Secretary general of Fatah's Revolutionary Council Amin Maqboul.
One of the cell members is an officer in the Palestinian security apparatus at the equivalent ranks of colonel.
