Three soldiers killed in PKK attack in the southeastern Turkey
DIYARBAKIR -- Three Turkish soldiers were killed and five others were wounded by mortar fire from Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants near the southeastern town of Cukurca, security sources said on Saturday.
Soldiers who were on an operation in Cukurca in Hakkari province bordering Iraq and Iraq returned the fire, sources said. Operations were under way to hunt down the militants.
