Defendant in stone-throwing death to receive reduced sentence
None
The State Attorney's Office has reached a plea bargain with one of the defendants in the killing of Alexander Levlovich in September 2015. Levlovich was killed by a stone thrown at his car while on the road – a stone-throwing attack that is considered to have launched a wave of terror attacks that has lasted over a year.
The deal reached with the defendant in the Levlovich case will see him convicted of aiding in manslaughter, battery, and risking a human life on a public transportation route, rather than being accused of these offenses directly. He is expected to receive a 9-year prison sentence and will be ordered to pay the Levlovich family NIS 10,000.
