1.8 million tourists visit Israel in 2016

According to figures published by the Population and Immigration Authority, since the beginning of 2016, 1,802,182 tourists visited Israel.

The leading countries in numbers of tourists as of October 2016 are the United States, Russia, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. From these five countries alone account for 933,960 tourists. The United States saw 385,084 tourists, Russia 168,156, France 159,717, Germany 110,599 and the United Kingdom 110,404.
