Bennett calls on ministers to vote in favor of bill legalizing outposts in the West Bank
Education Minister Naftali Bennett (Bayit Yehudi) called on members of the government to vote in favor of the so-called Regulations Bill designed to legalize outposts in the West Bank which is expected to be brought before the Ministerial Committee for Legislation om Sunday.
“The time has come for thousands of Jewish residents in Samaria to be entitled to normal lives. I expect all members of the government to support the move,” Bennett said.
Addressing the criticism that has recently been levelled against Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked, also from the Bayit Yehudi party, over the nomination of judges for Israel’s supreme court, Bennett added: “The government needs to govern, the legislators need to legislate and the judges need to judge. We are doing the things for which we were elected.”
