Trump reiterates desire to broker peace between Israel and Palestinians

Speaking to the New york times on Tuesday, President-elect Donald Trump repeated his wish to bring about peace, saying that he saw a role for himself in a region that has confounded American presidents for decades—the area of Israel and the Palestinians.

“I would love to be the one who made peace with Israel and the Palestinians,” he said in the interview. “That would be such a great achievement.” Trump added that his son-in-law Jared Kushner could help with the endevour.
