As per Netanyahu's request, Greece and Croatia will send firefighting planes before Thursday's expected wind currents

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, asking them for assitance in putting out the fire that has been raging since overnight Monday in the north and center of Israel.

Both leaders immediately agreed to send firefighting planes to assist in the efforts.

Strong winds are expected to pass through Israel on Thursday, making the continuing fires even more dangerous, by increasing their chances of spreading.
