Safed's rabbi permits shooting Arabs to stop possible fires
Safed's rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu has issued a halacha ruling that permits shooting Arabs who are trying to start a fire.
In an answer to a question on his Facebook page, the rabbi explained that now that the prime minister has defined the fires as an act of terrorism, they must be stopped even by shooting and, if necessary, by desecrating the Shabbat.
"If anyone had shot the arsonists in Beit Meir or in Haifa, we would've been spared this disaster. It's a miracle that people weren't burned alive, but we must not rely solely on miracles."
