Netanyahu tells Abbas: 'Let's not set fires, let's extinguish them and march together towards peace'
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that he has recently called Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, stressing to him the importance of negotiating peace rather than turning to unilateral international moves.
"Let's not set fires, let's extinguish them and march together towards peace," Netanyahu told Abbas.
He also noted that he hoped the Obama administration would keep its word from 2010 not to allow for unilateral resolutions against Israel to pass at the UN Security Council.
