Netanyahu promises French Pres. Hollande to meet with Abbas if Paris Peace conference will be canceled
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to French President François Hollande on Wednesday over the phone. He told Hollande that if the upcoming international peace conference slated for in Paris will be canceled, Netanyahu will agree to sit with Palestinian President Mahnoud Abbas directly, without insisting on preconditions.
Netanyahu's statement repeats past statements he has made, in which he had already expressed a willingness to meet with Abbas without preconditions. One such statement, for example, was made by Netanyahu during a recent United Nations speech.
