Iran congratulates Assad on Aleppo victory, Syrian presidency says

BEIRUT - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has congratulated Syrian President Bashar Assad on a victory in "liberated Aleppo," Syria's presidency said on Wednesday.
Rouhani said this was an important step towards "wiping out terrorism in Syria," the presidency's Twitter account and state media reported.
