Aleppo rebels on high alert as govt blocks road out of east

BEIRUT- Rebels in eastern Aleppo enclave went on high alert on Friday after pro-Syrian government forces prevented civilians leaving eastern Aleppo and deployed heavy weaponry on the road, a Syrian rebel commander in the city said.
A Reuters witness in government-held areas outside the city said government forces were setting up road blocks on the highway being used to evacuate people from the eastern Aleppo enclave held by rebels.
