High Court dismisses petition against terrorist home demolition

None

The High Court dismissed a petition put forth by the family of Abu-Sabih Misbah, who carried out the terrorist attack on Ammunition Hill, to stop the government from demolishing the family home.

The attack killed Sergeant Major Yossi Fahima and Lavna Malichi. The panel of judges Anat Baron, Hanan Meltzer and Noam Solberg explained the rejection:

"The terrorist wanted to kill as many Israelis as possible, and unfortunately he was successful in carrying out this murderous terrorist attack in an attempt to sow fear and terror in the hearts of innocent civilians walking in the street. It was not the first time that the terrorist has used violence and his family knew, recognized and supported it. It was a serious act with a terrible outcome. There is a need for deterrence."
