16-year-old girl discovered stabbed to death in northern Israel
The girl, wearing her school uniform, had been stabbed at least three times; earlier in the morning in a separate incident, a pedestrian discovered a dead 20-year-old woman who had suffered blows to the head; police investigating circumstances.
The body of a 16-year-old girl was discovered Tuesday morning in a park near Kisra-Sumei, an Arab town in the western Galilee in the Northern District of Israel. She was later identified as Wajdan Abu Ahmed.
Magen David Adom paramedics, who pronounced Ahmed's death at the scene, found the girl—who was wearing a school uniform—and discovered that she had suffered at least three stab wounds.

The circumstances surrounding the incident were not clear by the late afternoon. However, authorities suspect that she was murdered.

“We saw a 16-year-old girl without any signs of life bearing signs of serious violence,” one paramedic said as he recalled the chilling sight. “We tried to give her first aid treatment, but her wounds were serious and we were forced to pronounce her dead on the spot.”

Earlier in the morning, the body of a 20-year-old woman was also found near the town of Migdal in the Northern District of Israel.

The woman, who had suffered blows to the head, was pronounced dead by MDA paramedics at the scene and the police launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The woman’s body was discovered at around 7am. Police say that they received no reports of a missing individual in the area. Her body was found by a pedestrian who called MDA who, in turn, informed the police.
