MK Ghattas agrees to remove immunity so that he can be prosecuted

MK Basel Ghattas (Joint Arab List) has agreed to give up his Knesset immunity so that he can be investigated over suspicions he smuggled in cell phones to terrorists in prison.
Ghattas told Knesset Chairman Yuli Edelstein that he will agree to relinquish his immunity, and that he wants to make an announcement to that regard.
Ghattas has called the investigations into his alleged smuggling of contraband to terrorists in prison a “witch hunt.”
