Palestinian paper: Kerry to present peace framework next month
US Secretary of State John Kerry is working on a framework for future negotiations and accord between Israel and the Palestinians, Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds reported on Monday morning.
Kerry is expected to present this framework next month, ahead of the US administration change.
According to the report, the framework would stipulate the establishment of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders after land swaps that would allow 80 percent of Jewish settlers to remain under Israeli sovereignty.
The Palestinians will have to recognize Israel as a Jewish state while Israel will have to recognize the Palestinian state and its capital in east Jerusalem.
